Once you have built your employee list, it is possible that errors may have occurred and some employees may not be assigned to the correct department, manager or other demographic attribute.
These errors can be easily corrected by editing an employee's profile (see Modify an employee's profile).
It should be noted, however, that these changes will only take effect for future surveys.
If a survey has already been launched before you make the change to the employee profile, it is normal for previous results to not be updated to reflect the change you just made. Amélio is designed to track the history of demographic attributes for consistent analysis.
Why don't the results of previous surveys update when I edit a profile
Amélio helps organizations measure engagement improvement over months and years. The platform therefore keeps track of your work climate history for the entire organization and this should represent the demographics at the time the climate was measured.
For example, when an employee changes teams and is now assigned to a new
department and a new manager, his or her responses to previous surveys should
not be attributed to this new team as they are not representative of that team.
The employee responded to previous surveys based on their current work team and
their previous manager. Therefore, his previous responses do not apply to his
new team and it would be inconsistent to base the analysis of this team on
results from another team. It is not the same work climate, the same
relationship between colleagues, with the manager, etc.
For this reason, the changes in the employee profile will be used for future
surveys only.
I would like to correct a demographic attribute error
There is an option to reallocate results to correct demographic attribute errors. This feature will update the results of all occurrences of a survey to the current demographic attributes of the employees.
In other words, all survey results were recorded based on the demographic attributes of the employees at the time they received the survey. By using the Reassign Results feature, this will replace the demographic attributes of the employees in the results from those recorded at the time the survey was taken with those recorded in their profile at the time this option is applied. This applies to all employees for the reassigned demographic attribute.
To be considered:
To use this feature, we suggest you contact us beforehand at support@amelio.co.
Concrete example
A survey has been launched and you are in the process of analyzing the
results. When you open the Segments report, you notice that the Sales department should only have 20 employees, but you see 26 in the report:
This means that 6 people were assigned to it by mistake.
You can change the profile of these 6 employees to reassign them to another department, but this will not update the results of previous surveys. The changes you make will apply for the future, so the next surveys of these employees will be counted in their new department since they have changed departments.
You will still see 26 employees in the Sales department.
If it was an error, you can use the re-assign results function. This will assign the results of those 6 employees in error to the new department you have indicated in their employee profile. As a result of this reassignment, the Sales department will show 20 employees.
